Servizi per Disabili

With the elimination of architectural barriers, disabled people are guaranteed access to and use of the International Library and, to promote the accessibility of information resources and the services provided, the OPAC is accessible from a location that fits the ergonomic needs of disabled persons.

Thanks to the collaboration with Eli-Che – service of the University of Parma targeted to students with disabilities - at the International Library there is a computer workstation equipped with all the specific instruments, technical and information technology services for the blind and visually impaired people, suitable also for people with ASD. The station includes a videomagnifier for reading electronic magazines and texts in the library, a multimedia station with a table specially equipped with all the necessary tools to operate the computer, a scanner with speech synthesis (model) and a touchscreen display (program installed).

The Visually Impaired Section and the Braille Section of our collection also address to people with visual impairments.
